I headed to Farnborough, England for the biennial Airshow on 19 July 2010. I had one goal in mind; see the all new Boeing 787-8 that had arrived the previous morning. It was its first time across the Atlantic Ocean and it was the star of the show. If only I could get to see it on the inside. I had seen mock ups a few years earlier, but there is nothing like the real thing.
Desperate to get a ticket I made my way to the Boeing Chalet but was denied, as seeing the 787’s interior that morning was relegated to only invitees only. I was told though that I should get on queue about noon as they were accepting random people.
So at 11:45a I got on the already long queue and made it in as the first set of 30!
As we got into the holding area, we were handed a souvenir business card holder with the words Boeing 787 emblazoned on it. How nice!
Enjoy the photos and please leave a comment.
