The Netherlands capital is a must visit when you go to Europe. This is the Amsterdam Royal Palace located in Dam’s Square across from Madame Tussaud’s Museum. it is just a short eight-minute walk from Centraal Station. |

This statue is affectionately called the ‘Peeing Boy.” Its official name is Mannequin Pis and it can be found in Brussels, Belgium, just off the square at the center of the city. There are usually long lines to see it. The side street is actually quite tiny, but it is worth seeing. In addition, there are copies everywhere. |

This the Hallgrimskirkja in Reykjavik, Iceland (I love Icelandic words :-)). It is a church that is located in the city. You can actually go all the way up to the top of the tower you see in the picture. |

The Eiffel Tower is one of the many icons of Paris. It is the most notable. This sot was taken while flying over the city at low altitude coming in for a landing in Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport in the north.
A tip: If you want to actually go up to the top, get there very early, otherwise you will spend all your day here waiting in a queue. |

I have to disagree a bit with the inclusion of Brussels. Sure, it’s nice, but it pales in comparison to the other cities on this list. If anything, spend only 2 hours there (it’s all you need) and then hop on a train to Bruges or to Amsterdam!
@Lake, thanks for the comment. I agree that Brugge (http://www.brugge.be/internet/en/index.htm) is also a cool city, but Brussels does have its charm ;-).
Anyone else feels as strongly as @Lake?
Hey,
Cool post here, I think I’ll go to the first suggestion!
Amsterdam has the finest coffee shops 🙂
Spent new years there, what an exciting place to be!
@Richard, thanks for your comments, I appreciate it.
Yes, New Year’s in Amsterdam is cool, I mean cold! And yes, they do have many coffee shops :-).
