Continental Airlines' Boeing 777-200ER: N78002

On Friday, October 9, 1998, CO took delivery of the second 777.  Here are some photos of its first night in Newark, second day in Newark, and on the morning of its inaugural revenue passenger run from Newark to Orlando (Sunday October 11, 1998).

First time seeing N78002 since the first time at Paine Field in Everett Washington.  Photo taken about 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 1998 at gate 90 in Terminal C in EWR.

The first 10 reows of coach and the BusinessFirst cabin are all fitted with Empower - you can plug your computers in.   The controller doubles as a phone as well.

Every seat has a seat back video.   Screens are also mounted at the front of each cadin as well as in the hallways.   THe airplane is so high that they are out of the way.
