Cities: A Trip out to The Great Barrier Reef - Carins, Australia (CNS): January 17, 2002
Haba Dive - http://www.habadive.com.au or http://www.greatbarrierreef.aus.net/haba/index.html

I lost my hat on this trip. It flew off my head, sat on the boat for a while, and then just like a tale, flew away when I tried to get it. This is the boat that took us on our journey. There were about 32 souls plus the crew on board. You can dive or snorkel. Equipment is provided by Haba including a buffet lunch, which was quite delicious. I thought this was an interesting sign. The boat has an air conditioned section in the front that was definitely a welcome relief from the 34 C weather.

Looking back at the Great Barrier Reef. The change in color in the fourth photo shows where the reef is located.

More views of the great blue yonder as seen from the boat as we headed back to the mainland.

Some of the islands just off the coast. Parasailing just off the coast of Port Douglas, Australia. Port Douglas is just North of Cairns.

The entrance to the cove. This is a bigger boat that is owned by the same company. It holds over 400 people. When we got back, they had all our shoes laid out. When we left, we had to leave them in a box next to the boat. This was a great touch.
