This is the only sign to the airport. It is seen on your way to the airport from the town of Resolute Bay. The runway is actually ahead and to the right a little. you just cannot see it :-)
This is the airport from the airside This nose skid is used to stop the gravel from damaging the underside of the airplane. This is a gravel runway at YRB
Here you can see the device that is used to push air forward of the engine. This serves to push away the gravel so that it is not ingested by the engine

This the home of the Inuits. They were early inhabitants of Resolute Bay. You are looking at the roof made out of whale bones. The home was built into the ground using boulders and turf
