These photos were taken on Sunday November 29, 1998 unless otherwise stated
The translation is below
This beautifully gardened sign greets you as one arrives on NRT's single runway.
Narita's Terminal 1 as viewed from the air side of the terminal.
The Japan coastline as we approached Narita in a Continental Airlines (CO), operated by Continental Micronesia (CS) Boeing 747-200. This was after a 3hr. flight from Guam International (GUM). CO will be retiring these airplanes by March or April 1999.
Approaching NRT. Note the leading edge slats are fully deployed.
Almost at touchdown.
Touchdown and rolling towards the end of the single runway at NRT.
The NRT fire station is at the ready. They are located just to the left of the runway.
The busy ramp at NRT
NRTs cargo hard stand area. This area is located near Terminal 1.
More ramp activity at Terminal 1. Notice the double jetways for those larger airplanes (B747s, B777s, A330/A340, etc.) Click here for more photos. |
