| Majuro Atoll, The
Marshall Islands (MAJ) |
| JON MAJ KWA KSA PNI TKK |
These
photos were taken on Saturday November 28, 1998.
Landing in Majuro, the second stop on our trip was just great. There are spotters everywhere
Part of the main terminal at Majuro. The temperature was a balmy 80 degrees with a cool breeze from the neighboring ocean. We were feeling the warmth of Paradise
This sign welcomed us to Majuro
The Flight Information Display (FIDS) at Majuro told us exactly what we were in for. If nothing, now I can spell the names of the Islands
The main terminal from outside. The ocean was to my back. The arrival of Continental's flight 957 is an event in these islands
A view of the airport from the outside
The Majuro Tower from outside the airport
A closer view from the ramp of the tower
A view from farther away
There are spotters all over the world. This is the view from the end of the runway/ taxiway
Racing past the hard stand area on take off
Lift off from MAJ. Note the tower just above the wing
The view on departure is just as beautiful as the arrival
A view of the Atoll from way above Onto to the next island, Kwajalein, The Marhall Islands. |
