International Airport Jamaica, New York USA (JFK) |

These
photos were taken on Saturday and Sunday August 9 and 10, 1998
United Airlines (UA), American Trans Air (TZ) and Trans World Airlines (TW) share Terminal 6.
A closer look on Sunday, September 7, 1998.
United Airlines (UA) and British Airways (BA) shares Terminal 7. Here is the funny thing, the UA gates are on the BA side of the sign and vice versa :-) I think its because UA shares Terminal 6 with TW, this way the gates are closer for the ramp folks.
The Delta Air Lines (DL) Worldport as seen from the departure area of Terminal One. The Worldport used to be occupied by Pan Am when it serviced JFK.
Another view of The Worldport (The Terminal One parking garage blocks the view partially).
Terminal 4 is one of the older and more congested terminals in JFK. Airlines such as Virgin Atlantic Airways (VS) and Alitalia (AZ) uses this terminal.
Here is Trans World Airlines' (TW) Terminal 5. I think this terminal have been declared an historic building, which explains why it is still there. TW also shares Terminal 6 with United Airlines (UA).
This parking structure was the first of its kind for JFK. I was taking photos from the roof once and a security guard told me to stop, he promptly watched as I exited the area. |
